Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name for Winona Laura Hoowitz who was who was born within Winona Minnesota. Parents named her Winona after her hometown. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's parents are both Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. Ryder has two half-siblings younger than her, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's parents relocated her and their children into Mendocino County California when Ryder turned seven. The town didn't even have electricity. Ryder was an avid reader and spent her time reading books because she had no television. Ryder took acting classes when Ryder was 12, at the American Conservatory Theatre. Lucas was released in 1986, and Ryder who was barely 15 years old, landed the role of a leading actor. Ryder had to deal with bullying throughout her high school years. Ryder hoped her career as an actor would be able to help. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. But she pushed on with her dreams. It was 1988 the year that Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that was her breakthrough. Ryder was later cast in success in roles. In 1993, Ryder was nominated twice for Academy Awards.
